• There are only 12 colors necessary for the whole book.
• Each page only needs between 3 and 7 coloring pens or pencils
• Numbers on a coloring page are always single digit; they can be 0, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8.
• Letters on a coloring page can be any letter from the alphabet.
• The bottom of each page shows which number or letter represents which color.

• The colors are kept generic, so any color that you have in your collection of pens or pencils that is similar will be fine.
• The 12 colors are: black, yellow, orange, red, light brown, dark brown, light blue, dark blue, light green, dark green, pink and purple.
• If you don’t have one of these colors, you can replace it with a color that is similar in brightness. The colored pages will still look fine as long as the contrast between colors is kept similar. It should, of course, not be the same as another color.
